Volkswagen Group Ireland this week welcomed more than 30 Access to Apprenticeship (ATA) students from Athlone and Limerick into its National Learning Centre in Dublin 12. The group worked through hands-on sessions across engine and gearbox, ADAS, and electric vehicle technologies, giving them an insight into the fundamentals of the trade and where the automotive industry is heading.

A new £13.5 million MOT test centre has opened in Mallusk, Co Antrim, providing capacity for 100,000 vehicle tests a year. The new centre includes a 10-lane testing area, seven ramp-based lanes for light vehicles, two lanes for heavy vehicle testing, and a dedicated bay for motorcycle testing.
