A tragic death is rippling through Fulton County this holiday season after a mother of two young children died in a motor vehicle accident. Alicia Corbett was just thirty two years old when her car was struck by another vehicle going westbound down an eastbound exit on State Route 17. Alicia passed away as a result of the accident, and her two children, ages seven, and two months, were hospitalized from their injuries. Her boyfriend suffered a collapsed lung. This all happened just fifteen minutes after leaving their family’s Thanksgiving dinner.

On Tuesday, the Columbia Greene Humane Society assisted the Greene County Sheriff's Office in the seizure of 99 animals from a farm at Lime Kiln Road in Athens. Among the animals removed, there were 18 dogs, two cats, a numerous amount of farm animals, this included cows, goats, chickens, ducks, and geese.

The fight between Section 2 and the officials that work their games continues. The dispute is between Section 2 and The Eastern New York Chapter of the National Ice Hockey Officials Association. Dr. Robert Zayas, the Executive Director of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association led a mediation with the two sides tonight. It lasted four hours, and no agreement was reached.

One person was treated for serious injuries early Monday evening after crashing into a local mom & pop restaurant and candy store. For the owners, Tammy and Charlie Morgan, the business means absolutely everything. They have spent nearly half of their lives bringing smiles, warmth, and kindness to their community.
