The Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, James Browne TD, has announced funding of €140 million for local authorities under the Energy Efficiency Retrofit Programme (EERP) to support the retrofit of around 3,500 social homes, with an allocation of €1.6m for Sligo County Council. This is an increase of €50 million on the amount allocated and drawn down by local authorities in 2025.
